ABC Radio Interview with WASM Graduate Dan Helm

Dr Dan Helm graduated with a BEng (Minerals Engineering) in 2001 and PhD (Minerals Engineering) in 2005. While writing his PhD thesis in 2004, he joined Black Swan Nickel as Graduate Metallurgist. In 2005, he moved to Murrin Murrin Nickel, initially as Process Engineer, where he rose through the ranks to become Refinery Superintendent in 2007. In 2009, he moved to Rio Tinto Coal in New South Wales as Production Superintendent. He recently returned home to Western Australia taking up a position as Production Supervisor at Alcoa's Kwinana Refinery.
